The brand behind this new steering wheel is Thrustmaster, which produces officially licensed steering wheels for Gran Turismo games. The company has also recently rejoined the list of official sponsors for the World Series after a break since 2020. Thrustmaster's latest product, the T-GT 3, is the newest result of the brand's 16-year partnership with the creators of Gran Turismo to deliver a realistic driving simulation.

The T-GT 3 steering wheel by Thrustmaster is described as the start of a "new era" for the Gran Turismo 7 driving experience. The most notable change is that the T-GT 3 will be the first product to use Thrustmaster's latest Direct Axial Drive technology, which aims to create an immersive and responsive system. Thrustmaster has confirmed that the T-GT 3 will have a recommended retail price of $749.99 USD, and Gran Turismo 7 players can pre-order it starting December 3.
Since Gran Turismo 7 cars have always tried to stay true to their real-life counterparts, the T-GT 3 also focuses on realistic controls. The steering wheel can reach up to 10 Newton-meters , allowing it to respond to events in the game by making the wheel feel stiffer or looser.
