Crunchyroll has finally announced that the latest Dragon Ball anime will be coming to their streaming platforms beginning on October 11, 2026. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an enhanced remake of the original anime, updating the animation and art direction while cutting out all filler. The series has been described as drawing from "Akira Toriyama's original story, character designs, and creative vision," so anime-only fans should expect a very different Dragon Ball Super than they remember.
While the anime airing on Crunchyroll was a given, a simulcast still hasn't been officially announced. Going off of precedent, however, the English version of each new episode will realistically drop half an hour to an hour after their Japanese release. This was the same release cadence Crunchyroll used for Dragon Ball DAIMA, so there's no reason to assume they'll change course. Most notably, however, Crunchyroll will be receiving new episodes of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus a full week before Netflix.
Dragon Ball Super 2 is finally intrroducing the strongest mortal in the entire multiverse – and, unfortunately, it's neither Goku or Vegeta.
As formally announced by Crunchyroll in a new press release, new episodes of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be available to stream on Crunchyroll with English subtitles every Sunday starting October 11, 2026.
