New Code Geass Anime Reveals New Visual and Main Cast

Carley spends her free time gaming with her husband, scoping out breweries and wineries, playing with her cat Momo, and writing self-indulgent fanfiction. She prefers lore-heavy RPGs and walking sims and has only played Dragon Age: Inquisition 14 times. Her favorite Final Fantasy game is all of them.

A new Code Geass anime series is coming in 2027, and ahead of its highly anticipated release, Sunrise has revealed a stunning new visual, along with the show's key cast members and more information surrounding its story and production staff. The original Code Geass anime has maintained its popularity since its release in 2006, with many dubbing it one of the best of all time. Now, fans are wondering how this curious new release will continue the series' legacy, and they don't have long to wait to find out.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion remains a mainstay of 2000s anime. The series follows the exiled prince Lelouch Lamperouge, who finds himself blessed with the "power of absolute obedience" from a mysterious green-haired woman named C.C. By utilizing this otherworldly power, dubbed the Geass, he can force people to submit to his will, and he does so in an effort to lead a rebellion against the authoritarian Holy Britannian Empire. From its complex characters and memorable mecha battles to its fast-paced story, the series is well-regarded by the community, and in 2027, fans will finally get some unique new content in the Code Geass world.

Code Geass brought fans amazing mecha battles and rebellion, which in turn made fans crave more anime like it.
