How to find Richard the dog in Ocarina of Time

Finding Richard is a side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. You might have seen Richard, the adorable dog, during your first visit to Hyrule Castle Town: a white energetic dog that you couldn’t pet because its owner would accuse you of trying to steal her dog. If you visit the town again later, you will learn that Richard has disappeared.

Luckily, you can help the distressed owner to find her precious dog. Below, we explain how to find Richard in the Ocarina of Time remake.

To find Richard, you must visit Hyrule Castle Town during the night and identify it among the running dogs. To know which one is Ricard, you must look for a white dog that will twirl and emit a high-pitched bark when you interact with it. All the other dogs have a deeper bark and briefly stand on their hind legs instead of spinning like Richard does. Since you can only look for Richard at night, consider unlocking the Sun's Song to change the time.

While it is possible to find Richard through trial and error, you don't need to. First look for the white dogs , then interact with them to see how they react . Since there aren't many white dogs, checking each one does not take much time. When I found Richard, he was on the street on the left side of the map, but I can't guarantee that it would always be in the same place for every player.
