NAVI tie Team Liquid ID at 12-4 in MPL ID Season 18 and skip the playoff first round

NAVI finished the MPL Indonesia Season 18 regular season level with Team Liquid ID and lost first place only on game difference. Second place sends them straight to Round 2, two series wins from the M8 World Championship, while defending champions Bigetron by Vitality and ONIC must start in Round 1.

NAVI ended the MPL Indonesia Season 18 regular season level with Team Liquid ID at the top of the table. The campaign ran from August 14 to October 18. Net game wins separated the two teams. Liquid ID closed with a 26-11 game record, while NAVI finished 25-12.

Second place still carries real weight. It puts NAVI directly into Round 2 of the playoff bracket and lets them skip the single-elimination first round. No earlier finish by the organization matches it, NAVI said.

The head-to-head record favored NAVI. Their first meeting with Liquid ID ended in a NAVI sweep in August. A second 2-0 win over the same opponent came in the closing weeks, Dot Esports’ results page shows. Neither result was enough to close the gap in game difference.

Behind the top two, Alter Ego and Bigetron by Vitality finished 10-6. EVOS went 8-8 and ONIC 7-9. Dewa United, RRQ Hoshi and Geek Fam filled the bottom three and missed the playoffs.

The stakes reach beyond Indonesia. Both playoff finalists qualify for the M8 World Championship in Türkiye. That leaves NAVI two series wins from the event. The Season 18 prize pool is roughly $270,000. The M8 Swiss Stage is set for Istanbul’s ESA Arena from January 3 to 10, 2027.
