Naruto Live Action Movie Makes Shocking Permanent Changes To Naruto Uzumaki

The Naruto franchise is on track for a major revival heading into 2027, and the series has some massive projects planned, some of which have already been revealed to us. On July 11, 2026, it was officially confirmed to us that Naruto is getting a completely new adaptation, this time in the form of a movie. Naruto has already had a manga and anime adaptation, but a live-action movie adaptation has yet to be delivered. Now, this dream is being brought to reality, as confirmed by Masashi Kishimoto himself.

Quite a few plot details pertaining to the new Naruto live-action movie have been revealed. It has been officially confirmed that the Naruto Uzumaki we will get to see in this movie will be completely different from what fans are used to seeing in the manga and the anime. Naturally, this will completely change his character and remove some crucial elements that make him the Shinobi that we have come to love for years. This has consequently raised many doubts about the quality of the upcoming live-action movie, and rightfully so.

The live-action Naruto movie is a project that has been in the works for many years now. This project by Lionsgate was announced years ago, but a proper update was delivered to us on July 11, 2026, for the very first time. On this day, it was announced via a press release that this movie, involving Masashi Kishimoto himself, is now in production, and casting for it was going to begin shortly.
