Ludo.ai, the developer’s companion for creating production-ready games assets, has announced the release of the Ludo CLI, giving developers direct access to its AI game asset creation tools from the command line, without needing to use a browser.
The new interface allows solo developers, small studios, and coding agents such as Claude Code to generate sprites, animations, images, 3D models, video, and audio directly from the terminal. Assets are saved straight to disk, enabling developers to integrate them into their projects without switching between creative tools and development environments.
The CLI builds on Ludo’s existing REST API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, introduced earlier this year. Developers can now choose how to access Ludo’s generative tools, whether through the website, terminal, compatible AI assistants, or their own applications and automated pipelines.
For developers using coding agents, the CLI offers a particularly efficient integration. Agents can access individual Ludo commands as needed, rather than loading complete tool specifications, while local files can be passed directly into asset generation workflows.
“Game developers increasingly work across code, AI agents and automated tools, so asset creation needs to fit naturally into that environment too, said Jorge Gomes, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Ludo.ai, in a press release.
The CLI means developers, or the coding agents working alongside them, can generate assets exactly when they need them without interrupting their workflow. For solo developers and small studios, that removes another barrier between having an idea and bringing it to life.”
The CLI also supports scripts and automated production pipelines, allowing developers to incorporate asset generation into repeatable processes.
