Hunter x Hunter Creator Togashi Announces New Sequel Update

Hunter x Hunter is one of the most iconic shonen series of the last 20 years. The story by Yoshihiro Togashi has grown tremendously in terms of popularity, and that is despite the many breaks the franchise has been plagued with over the last two decades. Hunter x Hunter has now come to be known for its long hiatuses, but things have been gradually improving for the series over the last couple of years.

While Togashi went back on hiatus after 10 exciting chapters in September 2026, he is already nearing his return once again. Yoshihiro Togashi has now officially announced in a new X post from October 26, 2026, that the manuscript for chapter 430 of Hunter x Hunter is officially completed. Hunter x Hunter's new sequel batch covering chapters 421 to 430 is just ahead of us, with the series potentially making its comeback in 2027, if not sooner.

Hunter x Hunter is the second hit series by legendary mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi. Despite being far from complete, this manga is his biggest ever and has even surpassed its legendary predecessor, Yu Yu Hakusho. Hunter x Hunter saw the beginning of its serialization in 1998 in the popular shonen magazine Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. Since then, this manga has definitely stood out among its peers and carved an amazing legacy for itself thanks to its intricate plot, captivating power system, and amazing characters.

The series has been growing in popularity despite the big hurdles it has faced since 2006.
