How to Get Your Vehicle Unstuck in Over the Hill

Even with a fully upgraded vehicle, getting stuck is part of offroading in Over the Hill. You might find your wheels spinning in the mud or your car stuck between rocks with no clear way out. It might feel frustrating, but you have a few ways to get moving again. Here’s how to get your vehicle unstuck in Over the Hill.

Learn how to increase your inventory and carry more tools on your trips in Over the Hill with this guide.

The easiest way to get your vehicle unstuck is to use a winch. The game has two options. Which one you need depends on your surroundings.

If there's a tree nearby, you can use the Quick Winch. It comes with your vehicle, so you don't need to buy it separately. All you have to do is aim at a nearby tree, attach the cable, and pull yourself toward it to get out of the mud or away from whatever is holding you back.

But what if there's no tree within reach? That's where the Portable Winch comes in. It allows you to place a separate anchor that you can attach your winch to. Once you have placed it, press O to pull your vehicle toward it. You can also use it to recover stranded cars in the Recovery missions.

The Portable Winch is a single-use tool. Once you place the anchor, you can't pick it up and use it somewhere else.

Upgrading your winch costs Pebbles.
