Plushes are a significant branch on the Pokemon tree, right up there with video games and trading cards. It’s also one of the most expensive when you take a look at just how many different types there are to collect. It’s not often Pokemon gives them away for free, but right now is one of those times.
The Pokemon Company is busy promoting its upcoming Night Out events. In-person events that will effectively be Pokemon-themed concerts and club nights in giant arenas. Part of the marketing for Pokemon Night Out is getting people to sign up for its emails by tempting them into doing it with a free Umbreon plush.
The promotion began as a QR code on a physical stand that needed to be scanned to take you to the sign-up page for Pokemon’s emails and marketing. There’s now a link you can use so that you can roll the dice on an Umbreon without having to venture out into the world to find one of these Night Out stands and grab the code.
All you have to do to hopefully be sent a code for a free Umbreon Pokemon Dolls plush is visit the Night Out website. When you do, you’ll be met with a pop-up asking if you want to sign up for Pokemon marketing. Enter your email address and sign up and, in theory, you should receive a code that you can redeem through the Pokemon Center website for your free plush.
Although it’s clearly a “while supplies last” situation, don’t panic if your code doesn’t find its way into your inbox right away.
