Shroud Wood is a must-have crafting material in Enshrouded 1.0, especially if you want to make better gliders, craft tools, upgrade your Flame Altar, or build furniture for your base. Unlike regular Wood Logs, this resource comes from trees growing inside the Shroud, which is the dangerous fog that covers certain areas of Embervale.
Apart from entering and surviving the Shroud itself, there are no special requirements to farm Shroud Wood in Enshrouded. All you need is an axe and a little time to explore. This guide breaks down how to find Shroud Wood and harvest it.
Make your weapons a little bit cooler in Enshrouded by socketing magic gems into them.
Shroud Wood is available throughout Shroud-covered areas in Embervale. You don’t need to visit one specific location to find it. The main challenge is managing your time inside the fog, since fast travel is unavailable until you leave.
You can get Shroud Wood by chopping down dead trees inside the Shroud using an axe. These trees have grey trunks and no leaves, making them easy to spot. They’re quite different from the healthy trees growing outside of the fog.
Before entering the Shroud, make sure you have an Axe in your inventory. You need this tool to chop down the dead trees that drop Shroud Wood.
Once you cut down a suitable tree, it drops Shroud Wood logs that you can collect directly from the ground. You can simply repeat this process with other dead trees in the area until you have enough material for your crafting needs.
