How To Build Habitats For Pumpkaboo And Gourgeist In Pokemon Pokopia

Halloween has arrived in Pokemon Pokopia, and with it comes two new Pokemon to add to your town. The Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises event runs through the latter half of October 2026 and will feature several Halloween-themed items available for purchase inside the Pokemon Center.

To unlock all of these items, which are necessary to welcome the two new Halloween Pokemon, Ditto will be tasked with scaring the Pokemon residents already living in town. Doing so will earn Ditto Pumpkin Candies, which can then be exchanged for spooky decorations.

As mentioned, the Halloween event will run from mid-October to the end of the month. Specifically, you'll be able to collect and exchange Pumpkin Candy from October 17, 2026, at 5:00 am local time to November 1, 2026, at 4:59 am local time.

At that point, you will no longer be able to exchange Pumpkin Candy for the available Halloween items. However, if you did collect at least one of each item during that time, you can use Pokemetal to make more.

The Bubbly Basin added plenty of new Pokemon to Pokemon Pokopia, but you'll need to build their habitats to meet them!

When you first open Pokopia during the event dates listed above, you should get a notification that a Pokemon is the talk of the town. If you don't see this message, double-check that your game is updated and that your Switch 2 is synced to the correct date and time.

Not every Pokemon Center will have the event, so it's best to head to the Withered Wastelands, where you should see the Pokemon Center decorated for Halloween .
