How to Become Kid Link Again in Zelda Ocarina of Time (Remake)

You won't start as Adult Link until you get the Master Sword by returning all three Spiritual Stones, but when you do, you're going to be locked out of quite a bit of content, as there are a lot of things Child Link can do that Adult Link can't, and vice versa. Thankfully, none of this content is missable, and we'll show you how to freely change back to Child Link in the Ocarina of Time remake below!

The Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time requires you to make significant progress in the main story. Here's what you need to do.

To become Child Link again, you must first complete the Forest Temple, which you can do through the guide tagged here. After the Forest Temple has been completed, it's time to head back to the abandoned Hyrule Castle Town.

As Adult Link, head to the Temple of Time and you'll find Sheik, who will teach you the Prelude of Light song on your ocarina:

When Sheik leaves, you can return the Master Sword to its podium to travel back in time and spawn as Child Link. To switch back, just return to the Master Sword and pull it out of its pedestal!

If you're ever far away and want to switch between the two versions of Link, just play the Prelude of Light song shown above on your ocarina, and this will teleport you back to the Temple of Light to save you time.
