Parent company Rune is dropping its agency work to operate solely as an indie publisher
Rune, the UK-based "data-driven indie marketing agency," is now moving to work "exclusively as a publisher."
The move follows the launch of Phorust Studios' cozy incremental city builder Hearth and Hamlet, Rune's first major release as a publisher. The game launched on Steam on August 19 and sold nearly 50,000 units in its first 24 hours, rising to 100,000 in its first week. It has since passed 1,800 Steam reviews.
Before launch, more than 100,000 unique players played the game's free demo, and its wishlists passed 125,000.
Pythia's first wave of new titles includes Carnholt, a roguelike deckbuilder from Magic: The Gathering artist Maxime Minard, and Dragon's Tear, an idle dungeon-crawler RPG inspired by classic JRPGs from developer LilChill Games.
