GTA 6 Launch Trailer Teases Jason's Troubled Past, a Steamy Shower Scene With Lucia, and Much More

Rockstar has released the launch trailer for GTA 6, which shows us brand new footage of Jason and Lucia as well as the open world.

The trailer, which weighs in at 1:30, touches on Jason's troubled past, which involved leaving the army not on the best of terms. We see snippets of a steamy shower scene with Lucia, who is wearing an ankle tag, and plenty of explosive open-world action.

Rather than showing gameplay, the launch trailer showcases cinematic action in GTA 6 as it nears its November 19 launch. As per Rockstar's partnership with Sony, the PS5 is prominent in the trailer, with the "plays best on PS5" message displayed at the start. The trailer confirms the footage was "captured on PS5."

The trailer begins with some narration from Jason. "I got in some trouble in the army," he begins. "Didn't leave on the best of terms. They don't give loans or anything to people like me." We see a bearded Jason working at Brian's Marina, buffing a boat before he receives a call from Lucia Caminos. Presumably this is the call Jason gets to pick up Lucia from prison.

We're shown what look like flashbacks to Jason's time in the army, where he appears to have been in the special forces. We see him wading through water as part of a military unit, and leaping out of a helicopter while on some sort of mission. But these scenes could easily be set in the "present," rather than the past, with Jason gearing up for, perhaps, a police operation.
