‘Gremlins 3’ Release Date Revealed: When Will Gizmo Return?

‘Gremlins 3’ is pushed to October 6, 2028, with Gizmo returning for the long-awaited franchise sequel.

Fans waiting for Gizmo and the Gremlins to return will have to wait a little longer. Warner Bros. pushed the release of ‘Gremlins 3’ to October 6, 2028. The film was earlier scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2027.

The studio announced the new date with a short teaser featuring Gizmo, the furry Mogwai who remained at the heart of the franchise since the original Gremlins was released in 1984. The teaser does not reveal much about the story, but it confirms that the iconic creature will once again be part of the series.

The new film is particularly significant for fans as it will arrive almost four decades after ‘Gremlins 2: The New Batch,’ which was released in 1990.

Gremlins 3 will now release in theatres on October 6, 2028, replacing its earlier November 2027 release date. Warner Bros. did not announce why the film was pushed back.

THe teaser is deliberately brief. It shows Gizmo inside a backpack before revealing the new theatrical release date. There are currently no major plot details available, and Warner Bros. also did not confirm the complete cast.

Chris Columbus, who wrote the original Gremlins, is directing and producing the third film. Hannah Marks is writing the screenplay based on an earlier draft by Columbus, Zach Lipovsky, and Adam Stein.
