GrapheneOS just confirmed its first supported non-Pixel phone

For years, wanting GrapheneOS meant accepting one hardware choice: you needed a Google Pixel. Motorola’s partnership with the privacy-focused project promised to break that lock-in, but until now, we didn’t know which phone would go first. Following this week’s Signature 27 unveiling , GrapheneOS has answered that question directly: Motorola’s new flagship will be the first phone supported under the partnership.

The confirmation came after an X user asked whether the Signature 27 would support GrapheneOS. “Yes, that will be the initial supported phone. Wait for official news about it,” the project replied . That last sentence matters, since GrapheneOS has not yet announced when support will arrive or whether Motorola will offer the OS preinstalled.
