The Nintendo Switch 2 was hit by the price hikes affecting all gaming hardware earlier this month. However, if you didn’t manage to get a Switch 2 before the price went up, I have good news. Nintendo’s latest console is available for its lowest price ever right now, but it won’t stay that way for long.
The Switch 2 launched with an MSRP of £395.99 in the UK. That MSRP went up to £419.99 on September 1, meaning the console now costs just £10 less than the Mario Kart World bundle option those who bought the console at launch were given.
The price cuts the Switch 2 has now received at certain retailers bring its price down to well below either of those MSRPs, meaning if you buy one now, you’re going to get quite the deal compared to early Switch 2 adopters. You’re going to get quite the deal compared to anyone who already owns a Switch 2, as this is the lowest the console’s price has dropped since it was released.
Smyths Toys and Argos are the two retailers currently selling Switch 2 consoles at a heavy discount. The two leading brands left in the UK when it comes to physical stores from which you can buy games and the hardware you need to play them, particularly after Game shut down all of its standalone stores earlier this year.
