Googlebooks are getting another much-needed round of repairs, this time with Chrome

TL;DR Google is rolling out Chrome M156 for Googlebooks, fixing crashes involving extensions, tab management, and several website compatibility issues.

The update improves fullscreen keyboard shortcuts, downloads, copying in Google Docs, and Chrome’s address bar.

Multiple Chrome profiles, tab group syncing, and automatic Google Cast device discovery are still in development.

A desktop-class browser isn’t much good when your password manager crashes it, fullscreen apps hijack your keyboard shortcuts, or something as simple as copying a table becomes a headache. These are some of the frustrations Googlebook users have encountered with Chrome , and Google’s latest M156 update aims to fix them.

The update, announced this week , follows Chrome M155, which arrived just two weeks earlier. That release made any website installable as a standalone app and improved extension support. This time, Google is concentrating on making those everyday browser interactions less frustrating.
