FromSoftware has announced a delay of The Duskbloods to 2027. The Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive was due out by the end of 2026.
In a statement published online, the Dark Souls and Elden Ring developer said that it had decided to delay the game following feedback from the recent network test, with a focus on combat, strategic depth, and player expression.
Fans had braced themselves for a delay after The Duskblood was among a number of no-shows at the September 2026 Nintendo Direct. Before that, in August, FromSoftware brought The Duskbloods network test to an early end after the first day of testing resulted in "game server issues" that barred players from logging in.
FromSoftware is responsible for some of the most influential games of the last 20 years, including 2022 masterpiece Elden Ring. So anticipation for The Duskbloods to recreate some of that FromSoftware magic on Switch 2 is sky high.

While development of "The Duskbloods" is at the final adjustment stage, we have made the decision to move the launch window to 2027. We apologize to players who have been kindly awaiting the release of this title and thank you for your patience and support.
During the network test, we saw active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, we have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.
