Fortnite’s Pirate Token has its players scouring the island in every match like hungry kids trying to find Wonka’s golden tickets. Most want the token so that they can claim everything in Fortnite’s store without spending a single V-Buck. One person, however, is hoping to make some real-life cash.

The Pirate Token is a new item added to Fortnite on Sunday as part of its new One Piece-themed Treasure Hunters season. The tokens are hidden in chests but incredibly hard to find. If you track one down, it can be used to unlock almost everything in the item store for two weeks.

To be clear, it’s not a case of having to choose what you like, or even all of those items returning to their virtual shelves after the two weeks have passed. The items are yours to keep, which is why one player claiming to have found a token is hoping someone who hasn’t will be willing to pay big money to take it off their hands.

eBay seller nich-12290 has listed their Pirate Token on the auction site, and you’ll have to pay them $9,000 if you want to make it yours. That’s the “buy it now” price - there’s a chance you can get the token for a lot less by simply placing a bid. The bidding starts at $1,500, and although no bids have been placed, the auction will run for another ten days, provided nobody swoops in and coughs up that $9,000 asking price.
