Loftia offers players the opportunity to make donations with money to the One Tree Planted foundation in exchage for Pips, an in-game currency that will grant you unique cosmetics. If you want to know how Pips work, how much they cost, and where that money goes, then you can find all the necessary information below.
Loftia takes cozy farming beyond Stardew Valley with shared neighborhoods, community projects, and a true MMO world built for life together.
Pips are in-game currency for Loftia that can be used to get accessories and clothes for your character, but they are a microtransaction that can only be purchased with real money:
With Pips, you can use them in Back Boutiques, and we'll explain what they are below.
In the Backer Boutique, you'll find items for your animals or character to wear, furniture, visual effects, and more.
Backer Boutique items can be purchased with Pips from the Pip Shop either as a full bundle at a discount or as individual items. Some of the bundles will donate a portion of the proceeds to One Tree Planted, an organization dedicated to reforestation and land restoration. At launch, 93% of cosmetics can be earned in gameplay, but the Backer Boutique offers a few exclusive items.
Qloud Games decided to make this an option, as the game will be receiving regular updates as an MMO. The optional purchases are a good way to support the continued work without limiting the players' ability to play without paying.
