Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming Edgerunners 2 update has been fully detailed, confirming that it’s finally adding dual-wielding to the game alongside cross-platform mod support.
Considering it’s been nearly six years since Cyberpunk 2077 first launched and it’s been updated many, many times since, you’d think CD Projekt Red might be done with it. We know the sequel is already in the early stages of development, after all, so it would make sense for 2077 to finally get some well-earned rest.
Well, that’s not the case. As was teased yesterday, the release of Edgerunner 2 has resulted in Cyberpunk 2077 getting another meaty update with a surprising amount of content. That includes the addition of a feature that fans have been wanting for a very long time - the ability to dual-wield guns.
Earlier today, CD Projekt Red revealed the full patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 update, which goes live on all consoles tomorrow. As you’d expect from an update themed around Edgerunners 2, the update includes a new side quest set before the events of the anime, as well as a new five-piece gear set based on King and a radio station featuring songs from Edgerunners.
Night City shouldn't be afraid to branch out into new genres, and that includes a farming sim.
The best addition to Cyberpunk 2077 that the update makes, though, is the ability to dual-wield any combination of pistols and revolvers with the new Double Trouble perk. This was something that fans expected in the launch version of the game which obviously didn’t happen, so it’s nice to finally see it here.
