Major Skyrim Update Officially Comes to 'Elder Scrolls Online'

New season takes players back to Skyrim with free access to Greymoor and Wolfhunter DLCs

Skyrim is calling once again. The Elder Scrolls Online has officially launched Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim, bringing players back to the fan-favorite region with a fresh batch of content, including previously paid DLC that is now free for everyone who owns the base game.

Available now across Mac, PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox platforms, the new season of The Elder Scrolls Online runs through Jan. 27, 2027. Its launch brings the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC into the base game, opening up more of Tamriel without requiring players to purchase the expansions separately.

Greymoor is the headline addition for Skyrim fans, letting players explore Western Skyrim, visit the city of Solitude and venture into the subterranean realm of Blackreach. The Chapter also includes its storyline, the Antiquities system and the Kyne’s Aegis 12-player Trial. The Markarth DLC, which completes the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, will join the base game on November 9.

Season Two also introduces solo versions of two existing dungeons: Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. Both feature Hircine-themed challenges, with difficulty options and new rewards for players who prefer to tackle dungeons without a group. The original four-player versions are also now accessible through the free Wolfhunter addition.

There are plenty of other rewards to chase, too. The new Tamriel Tome offers free and premium reward tracks featuring collectibles, currencies and items such as the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount.
