The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has finally been released, which means it's time to grab your Fairy Bow, sharpen the Master Sword, and get ready to slay all types of monsters in thematic dungeons. While the bulk of this game is largely the same experience as its 1998 counterpart, Nintendo has added multiple new features for people to sink their teeth into.
However, some of these are a little easier to miss than others, as they are often hidden and require a bit of work to uncover. If you want to ensure you don't miss anything new, here is a breakdown of all the major new additions in the Ocarina of Time remake and how to access them.
Let's get the most obvious and easiest one out of the way first. Players can now freely jump whenever they want and can turn the camera in any direction. These don't sound like massive additions, but given the original game came out in 1998, neither of these features were available for players to use.
Being able to jump whenever you want also freed up Nintendo to add a bit more platforming throughout various areas in the world. Don't expect large platforming sections, but there have been some noticeable level changes to take advantage of this mechanic, and it even comes into play for a few fights such as the Morpha boss battle.
Link can also sprint now by first performing a roll and then holding down the A button.
