Every Member of the Order of the Phoenix in the Second Wizarding War

The Order of the Phoenix might not have appeared until the fifth book and its accompanying film adaptation, but the do-gooding organization is one of the most important elements of Harry Potter lore. As created by Albus Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix was originally around during the First Wizarding War and comprised the brilliant witches and wizards who were working to bring down Lord Voldermort behind the scenes. When Voldemort returned 14 years later and the Second Wizarding War began, the Order was reconvened.

While there are some similarities, the membership of the second generation of the Order is actually much different from the original lineup. This is due to some of the original members sadly dying during the first war, such as Harry's beloved parents, and others coming of age since then and being inducted into the Order's ranks. Some of the Order members may have grabbed the spotlight more than others, especially in the films, but every one of the following heroes did their part to save the Wizarding World.

The Wizarding World is full of compelling characters, and some of them made an impact in only one of the eight Harry Potter movies.

When Harry is transported from Privet Drive to Grimmauld Place at the beginning of The Order of the Phoenix , he is protected by the Order's Advance Guard. Several members of the Advance Guard are eliminated from the movie's adaptation of this event, including Hestia Jones and Dedalus Diggle, two veterans of the first Order.
