Everything Announced At Indie World October 2026

There are levels to Nintendo Directs. You have the first-party showcase, during which its biggest in-house games are revealed and shown off. There are also Partner Directs where third-party studios putting their games on Nintendo consoles have the opportunity to reveal they have games coming to Switch and Switch 2 too.

Today's presentation is neither of those things. Indie World is, as the name implies, an offshoot of Nintendo's Directs where the focus is on independently made games. Nintendo has become a platform on which indie games can thrive, particularly during the Switch era, and today's Indie World will reveal which indie games are coming soon to its consoles. Everything shown off, including when the games will be coming to Switch and Switch 2 if revealed, can be found below.

One of the creators of Celeste is on the team behind this intriguing pixel art adventure.

Sword of the Sea's PlayStation console exclusivity ends tomorrow, October 29, when it launches on Switch 2.

More blocky pixel-based goodness coming our way in 2027 courtesy of the beat 'em up-looking Ten Jutsu.

Something for RPG fans here, particularly of the 2D variety, via Threads of Time, coming to Switch and Switch 2 next year.

My game of the show so far, Dumpster Gang. A for player co-op game where you're diving through trash as a gang of friendly raccoons.

The co-op section of the showcase continues with Super Battle Golf, coming to Switch 2 on March 25, 2027.

Repo continues the trend of putting the most popular co-op games on PC from the past few years on Switch 2, launching next year.
