VisionQuest is being marketed as the conclusion of the WandaVision trilogy, but Marvel's latest Disney Plus series is really the culmination of the MCU's life-long fascination with AI. The franchise has been obsessed with artificial intelligence ever since 2008's Iron Man, long before AI became as commonplace as it is today. Not only does the show see the return of Paul Bettany's titular sympathetic synthezoid, it also brings back pretty much every other AI seen in the MCU to date.
From Tony Stark's loyal assistant J.A.R.V.I.S. to the apocalyptic android Ultron, the MCU is full of AIs both good and bad and VisionQuest weaves them together to tell an imaginative, smart, and thoughtful tale about the ineffable nature of sentience and the soul. The result is a series that should satisfy both those viewers searching for something with deeper themes on its mind and those who are after MCU Easter eggs and lore drops. With full spoilers for the show's two-part premiere, here's every AI featured in VisionQuest and how they fit into the show.
VisionQuest Season 1 premieres in just a few days' time, kicking off another chapter in the ever-evolving Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Last seen in the WandaVision finale , released way back in 2021, White Vision finally returns in VisionQuest, which at last reveals what he's been doing all this time. It turns out he has hidden himself away from the world while he attempts to figure out who he is: while he possesses all the memories of the original Vision, he does not have his emotions and so is unsure if he is the same being or not.
