Demon Slayer is one of the biggest anime franchises in the world. Ever since the release of its first season, it has been lauded across the world for its incredible animation and interesting story. 2025 was arguably the most important year for the franchise, as it released the first of the three movies in the Infinity Castle trilogy.

A lot of people were skeptical and worried about whether ufotable's decision to turn the most important arc in the story into a movie was the right call. However, the movie's performance at the box office left everyone surprised. The Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie shattered all manner of records and became the highest-grossing anime movie of all time. As expected, Tanjiro was at the center of attention. The hero teamed up with Giyu Tomioka to fight Akaza, who was Upper Moon Rank 3.

The fight was extremely nerve-racking, with both sides trying to gain the edge over each other. Obviously, the demon had the advantage due to his regeneration and his unique ability to sense malevolent intentions and thus predict any attack coming his way. After a long and exhausting battle, the fight came to a close with the heroes just about edging Akaza. One of the things that became quite clear was that Tanjiro still needed more power, especially if he wanted to take down Muzan. For his sake, the next upgrade should be a strong one that helps to level the playing field.

The most obvious choice is Sun Breathing, and it could help Tanjiro to counter Muzan .
