Control Resonant has officially launched, and Remedy Entertainment has also paired it with a fresh patch to make it a little less brutal. Hotfix 1.3.3 is primarily focused on adjusting enemy health pools and Dylan's overall strength, and once it's installed, you can expect the parautilitarian to have an easier time making enemies falter.

"We strongly believe these changes will improve the gameplay feel and flow while still providing a challenge," developer Remedy Entertainment wrote in the hotfix notes. "Depending on player progression, enemies can feel too tanky during the early hours of the game."

Applying a "Falter" status to the enemy Hiss in Control Resonant is a crucial part of the overall gameplay loop, as it sets them up for an instant-kill finisher. Once the hotfix is active, the base health and required Falter level for enemies will be reduced, while Aberrant strength and maximum Ability strength will be increased.

Remedy says that it also wants to encourage buildcrafting and experimentation in the game, so it's permanently reducing the cost of respeccing and increasing the stock of the Reset Items across all vendors in the game. The first Resonant boss fight (The Artist) will also drop two Reset Items instead of one.

This should make the game a little easier to play on its default difficulty level, but if you'd prefer to breeze through Control Resonant, you can use Assist Mode to toggle various gameplay options. You can essentially make Control Resonant a walk in the park by making Dylan immortal and capable of dishing out one-hit kills, which is good news for anyone who wants to focus primarily on the story and the delightfully weird world of Control Resonant.
