Capcom's golden streak continues as Onimusha and Pragmata sell well, but Monster Hunter Wilds conspicuously absent from financial report

Capcom has revealed updated sales figures for its new and successful games, including Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Pragmata, and Resident Evil Requiem. But for some reason, Monster Hunter Wilds is absent from the report.

Capcom's half-year report, for the period running 1st April to 30th September, saw growth in both revenue and profit across nearly all segments of the business. In games, much of that was driven by digital sales, which continue to account for the vast majority of the publisher's income.

The first half of FY2026 was especially strong for Capcom owing to the release of multiple critically acclaimed and financially successful titles. Onimusha: Way of the Sword has now sold over 1.7m copies, up from the 1m it sold at launch. Pragmata, another critical and financial hit, has grown its tally to 2.7m copies, more than double what it sold in its first two days of release. Resident Evil Requiem, meanwhile, has now surpassed 8.5m copies sold.

As part of the same report, Capcom also recorded its highest-ever number of unit sales for the first half of any fiscal year. This is attributed to Capcom's strong back-catalogue of titles, and regular sales and discounts.

But Capcom did not reference Monster Hunter Wilds sales at all in the report. The publisher did not share updated sales for the game, despite sharing a milestone for predecessor Monster Hunter: World, which is now well past 30m copies sold.

Although Wilds was incredibly successful at launch , the game's player base tapered off dramatically shortly afterwards .
