When you first start MW4 DMZ, you will meet Rex the dog, a tracker who is aiding his human Operator companion into Hajin. Sadly, Rex is shot and injured during this mission, and his owner helps hide Rex and promises to come back for him with medical supplies. Unfortunately, the Operator is killed by Blix, leaving the dog mortally wounded and hidden from the North Korean soldiers...
These Traits have been designed to help you survive and conquer Hajin in MW4 DMZ.
Unfortunately, you cannot save Rex in DMZ, and you cannot find him in Deadtown in North Korea in your next deployment. Rex may be injured, but he's not dead. Maybe he slept off his wounds, or another Operator found him and gave him the medical attention he needs to survive?
Rex wasn't confirmed dead like his handler, so there could be a future for DMZ in which he survives, and maybe the playable Operators will play a part in that.
It's likely that there are other plans for Rex, especially if the community keeps asking Infinity Ward for more updates to DMZ in the seasonal model. Since more DMZ Story Missions are assured in the future, maybe we will get a DMZ Story Mission from Watcher-2 to save Rex and bring him back safely to the FOB?
If there is a future mission where you can save Rex, you can count on us to find it and share it with you!
