Brand-New $1,600 God of War Release Officially Revealed

Prime 1 Studio has announced a massive God of War Ragnarok statue immortalizing Thor. Priced at an eye-watering $1,599, the new God of War Ragnarok release is scheduled to hit the market between late 2026 and early 2027 and will be produced in extremely limited quantities.

Thor serves as one of the principal antagonists of God of War Ragnarok, which launched in November 2022 as the second entry in Santa Monica Studio's Norse-themed reboot saga. Beyond taking the franchise in a new direction, the game also departed from more conventional interpretations of its mythological source material. One notable example is God of War Ragnarok's portrayal of Thor, whose much bulkier physique became one of the character's defining visual traits.

For years, fans have wanted God of War to explore the Egyptian pantheon, and if that happens it could face a challenge it wouldn't have years ago.

Prime 1 Studio's new collectible recreates that version of Thor at 1/3 scale, resulting in a display piece approximately 105cm (41.3") tall, 83cm (32.7") wide, and 61cm (24") deep. It weighs about 55kg, or 121 pounds, and the manufacturer expects to ship each unit in three cartons. Prime 1 Studio's current fulfillment window is listed as spanning November 2026 through February 2027. The manufacturer also cautions prospective buyers that final dimensions of the upcoming God of War collectible can vary by up to 10% and weight by as much as 10kg (22 lbs) during production.

The statue's massive footprint partly comes from an elaborate base built around Thor's distinctive design in God of War Ragnarok .
