Boruto Is Officially Replacing Naruto's Kurama With A New Power

Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the original Naruto series, had access to one of the mightiest Tailed Beasts to live in this universe, named Kurama. The power of Kurama was sealed within Naruto Uzumaki at birth, and this power grew dramatically over the years as he started gaining control over it.

Unfortunately, in Boruto chapter 55, released officially on February 19, 2021, in V-Jump Issue 4, Naruto Uzumaki lost the power of Kurama forever in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. This power is now officially confirmed to have been permanently lost, but the Seventh Hokage will need a new replacement upon his comeback, which is being facilitated in the post-Mamushi arc. It appears that Ikemoto and Kishimoto have already lined up a couple of exciting powers for him.

Naruto Uzumaki originally lost the power of Kurama in Boruto Chapter 55, released on February 19, 2021. This was on the back of his battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki, where the two utilized a new ability known as Baryon Mode. Baryon Mode was an incredibly powerful transformation that saw Naruto Uzumaki and Kurama use both of their chakra as kernels to create a completely new form of energy that far eclipsed even Six Paths Powers. This process was described by Kurama as akin to nuclear fusion itself, and that is precisely why it was as powerful as it was and allowed Naruto to overwhelm even Isshiki.

"This is a completely different beast. The other modes involve taking chakra that you acquire from elsewhere and just using it.
