Black Clover Officially Welcomes The New Strongest Duo

Black Clover has been all the talk among fans recently with its anime return, as the second season of the series officially began airing following a 5-year-long wait. After such a long hiatus, fans were eager to see what the story of Black Clover would deliver under the incredible production of a revamped Studio Pierrot. So far, not even a single episode has been a disappointment.

The Spade Kingdom Raid arc has been filled with exciting action and incredible character moments, especially for the protagonist Asta, who recently tapped into his strongest form, True Devil Union, and took on the current strongest devil duo of Spade: the Supreme-ranking Devils of the first Gate of the Tree of Qliphoth — Lilith and Naamah. While their confrontation started in Black Clover Season 2 Episode 4, their fight will wrap up in Episode 5 in a flashy manner.

Black Clover officially returned on October 3, 2026. This return marked the end of a 5-year-long hiatus that started in 2021, following the release of episode 170. While the Spade Kingdom Raid arc had already started before Black Clover Season 2's beginning, it is now ongoing. Black Clover Season 2 Episode 1 set up the arrival of the Mages in Spade, but it's Season 2 Episode 2 that revealed to us the new Supreme-ranking Devils of the Black Clover world.

These Devils inhabit the First Gate of the Tree of Qliphoth, and they are the twin devils Lilith and Naamah. Lilith and Naamah’s entrance was definitely a frightening moment for our cast of characters to see.
