Clash Royale's new Power Surge Global Tournament is here. It runs from October 20 to 25, and its Lightning mechanic can make things tricky if you don't plan your pushes well. You only get five losses before you are out, so choosing the right deck matters. There are also plenty of rewards that you can earn by winning matches. Here's how the Power Surge tournament works in Clash Royale, along with the best decks to use and some tips to help you get more wins.
Clash Royale players can claim a Hero Electro Wizard emote for free right now. Here's what you need to do.
When I first tried the Power Surge tournament, I thought Siege decks would struggle because of all the Lightning strikes. But since buildings are immune to Lightning in this mode, I can see X-Bow being a strong pick.
The idea is simple: place your X-Bow and protect it. If you have enough elixir, you should put a Tesla next to it to help deal with enemy troops. Otherwise, Skeletons and Bats can help keep your X-Bow alive without spending too much Elixir. Earthquake is also handy for dealing with enemy buildings.
Dark Prince is another good fit in this Power Surge deck, thanks to its shield. Bats give you cheap air defense. I was tempted to use Archers for that classic X-Bow combo, but Bats are cheaper, and swarm cards are just better in this event. You also have the Log and Barbarian Barrel to deal with the swarms.
