Sheet Metal is a common resource, so it can be found almost everywhere in ARC Raiders. But, if you are not paying attention, it becomes harder to find, since it is a resource that spawns as surface loot more frequently than in containers, and due to its design, it is easy to pass by without noticing it.

Players should look for it around Industrial and Residential POIs, and it can also be found in Security zones as surface loot. Containers and looting spots (shelves, salvage, consoles, electronic cabinets) would be the safest bet.
