ARC Raiders is getting a major update on October 8, called Frozen Trail. When the game was initially released last October, the success was pretty noticeable. It sold over 12 million copies by January 2026. However, recently, the slow update resulted in a declining player count. Thus, the free update adds Pendola Pass, a new map filled with snow, resources, and fresh dangers. 

The area is built around a crashed Emperor Arc called Frigate. Players can explore it for useful materials while facing three new enemies: Bully, Skulker and Hydra. The update will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Frozen Trail also brings new weapons, gadgets, Outposts and a fifth weapon upgrade tier. Players can build and customise their own Outposts with furniture and modules. A new research workstation will give these spaces another purpose. Weapon Amplification adds new upgrade paths, letting players change how their weapons work. The update also adds a grappling hook, new quests, a reworked Skill Tree, and a free and premium Rewards Pass.

Pendola Pass could make each raid feel less predictable. Players will have to decide how much time they want to spend searching for resources in a dangerous area. Outposts give those resources more value. Instead of simply collecting items and moving on, players can use them to build and improve their own space.
