Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3 brings back app lock and fixes dozens of bugs

TL;DR Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3 is out now for Pixel 6a and newer devices in Google’s Pixel Beta program.

Like Beta 2 last week, this one is loaded with dozens of bugfixes.

It’s only been a little over a week since Google gave us our last peek at the next big upgrade for Android — after the next one, that is. QPR2 should be going stable near the end of the year, and then we’ve got QPR3 to look forward to in 2027. We just saw Android 17 QPR3 Beta 2 deliver a whole heap of bugfixes, and now Google’s back with a lot more in QPR3 Beta 3.
