Running a zoo sounds like a dream until you're responsible for hundreds of animals, a bunch of demanding guests, and approximately a million things that can go wrong before lunch. Planet Zoo 2 gives you plenty of ways to embrace your inner zookeeper without immediately spiraling over a poorly placed food stand.
From designing gorgeous habitats to managing a growing conservation network, there's a lot to get your paws into, and figuring out where to start can make all the difference. Each game mode offers a slightly different approach to building your dream wildlife empire, so let's break down what you can expect before you put on your imaginary khaki uniform.
There are three main game modes in Planet Zoo 2. Whether you prefer working through structured challenges or letting your creativity run wild, here's how every game mode works.
Join the Fauna and Ecosystems Network (FEN) and build a global network of zoos and Wildlife Reserves. Complete objectives while contributing to conservation efforts around the world.
Manage animal health, needs, breeding, and conservation; research is shared across your network; move animals between zoos; release animals into Wildlife Reserves. Career zoos can also be continued in Sandbox mode.
Create your own zoo experience with extensive freedom over building, management, and conservation. Run one zoo, develop multiple locations, or focus on Wildlife Reserves.
Build without limits; customize challenge settings for animals, the economy, and guest experience; share zoos through the Frontier Workshop; access all animals and regions from the start.
