All Desert Festival Scholar Questions And Answers In Stardew Valley

The 1.6 Update for Stardew Valley added several new festivals, events, and activities to the already rich, replayable game. Of those, the Desert Festival mimics the Night Market, with three back-to-back days of shopping, but also a hint of adventure thanks to fishing and Skull Cavern quests.

Of the things you can do for precious Calico Eggs, there is an old Scholar sitting off to the side, away from the excitement set up by Willy and Marlon. What secrets does this mysterious man hold? Well, it's fewer secrets and more questions that you have to answer. This guide will give you those answers.

Updated October 31, 2026, by Kaitlyn Peterson: This guide has been updated and reformatted to help you quickly find the scholar and answer any quiz question he throws at you!

The Scholar sits to the far right of the Calico Desert, but only during the Desert Festival. Those days are Spring 15, 16, and 17.

He offers to quiz you for a reward of 50 Calico Eggs. The Quiz changes each time, and four out of 30 questions will be asked.

Once you answer all the questions correctly, you won't be able to take the quiz again until the next year.

The 30 questions aren't all part of one massive pool . Instead, a handful are designated to be first questions, then second, and so on. Regardless, you'll have to be ready to answer any of them since they are chosen at random.
