Afterlife With Archie was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and illustrated by Francesco Francavilla. The series originally debuted in 2013 to rave reviews ( including on IGN ). Here's the official description of the new hardcover:

In the days before Halloween 2013, Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and the rest of Riverdale’s beloved icons found themselves utterly transformed and powerfully reimagined as the comic industry’s most unlikely and unexpected horror anti-heroes within the pages of Harvey Award-winning writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Eisner Award-winning artist Francesco Francavilla’s AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE – detonating the first blast of a sold-out, smash-hit series that would immediately and definitively redefine the art and intensity of Archie Comics for a new generation. Unrelentingly celebrated by critics and ferociously followed by fans, AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE immediately became a jugular-ripping legend in its own time – due in no small part to the terrifying, tense, and uncannily atmospheric artwork of illustrator Francesco Francavilla, who quickly defined himself as one of his generation’s most instantly iconic and sought-after artists over the course of the series’ gut-wrenching run.
