A Documentary About BioWare's Final Years Is Coming Next Year

A documentary is on the way, titled Massive Effect: The BioWare Story, will track the studio from its creation to its last two years. According to IGN, the documentary is produced by Shane Fennessey and Adam Scorgie and is being made for Canada‘s Super Channel and will release some time next year. BioWare was based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Geoff Keighley shared a few additional details about the upcoming documentary and confirmed his involvement as an interviewee.

Next year, the story of BioWare will be told in MASSIVE EFFECT: THE BIOWARE STORY, a new documentary that chronicles the history of the company and its sad closure by Electronic Arts. I was honored to be interviewed for it earlier this year. https://t.co/928LPZWK7H

Late last month, news broke that EA was shuttering BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and more. Following the news, a work-in-progress teaser trailer leaked sharing what the team had been working on. Ea reportedly closed BioWare in favor of pursuing more Star Wars projects, which you can read about more here.
