$400K Pokemon Prize Up for Sale

An extremely rare Pokemon prize is being put up for sale for a staggering $400,000, with a Pokemon Unite trophy set to be one of the last of its kind. The incredible Pokemon prize comes as The Pokemon Company recently confirmed that Unite will be shutting down in 2027.

The Pokemon franchise boasts a vibrant competitive scene across many of its different games. The video games and Pokemon TCG serve as some of the biggest competitive avenues for the series, regularly holding major tournaments with big prize pools. Pokemon's competitive circuit includes tournaments for some of its most popular spin-offs as well, allowing players to test their skills against one another in games like Pokemon GO and Pokemon Unite among others. Now, with the announcement of Pokemon Unite's end of service, one competitive player is selling off one of the game's biggest prizes.

The Pokemon TCG officially shows off a suite of brand-new promo cards coming to the game, though the cards won't be released for another year.

Former professional player Junglebook is officially selling his Pokemon Unite World Championships trophy. Junglebook shared the background behind the trophy, earning the prize as a member of BLVKHVND at the 2022 World Championships, the first World Championship tournament for the game. The former champion confirmed that he has only held the Pokemon Unite trophy during the awards ceremony, and that it still comes with its original presentation box. The trophy is up for sale for $400,000, though Junglebook has said that he would consider trades for high-value graded Pokemon cards .
