2026 Co-Op Game on Steam Is Now Completely Free

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is a co-op Steam game that launched its 1.0 version on September 29, and with that, the previously paid title became completely free to play. Neighbors: Suburban Warfare centers on chaotic 4v4 combat between two groups of neighbors. And the best part is that it is not exclusive to Steam, as players can also download it for free on PlayStation and Xbox.

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare started its journey in April 2025, when it entered Steam's early access program. Since then, developer Invisible Walls has released multiple patches, fixed bugs, and added new content, including fresh characters. However, the game has had a rocky road, and the developer now hopes to get things back on track by making it free to play and attracting more players.

An arcade game on Steam allows users to add it to their libraries completely free of charge, but they need to act fast because the offer ends soon.

As of September 29, players on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S can download and play Neighbors: Suburban Warfare completely free of charge. Explaining the move to a F2P model, developer Invisible Walls said, "We decided that the game should become free-to-play. We did so to boost lobbies, prevent long queue times, and breathe new life into the game."

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare has an average user score of 4.6 out of 5 on the PlayStation Store at the time of writing.

Now, Steam users might notice that Neighbors: Suburban Warfare has mixed reviews.
