Voice AI platform Karta AI raises $3 Mn in seed round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill

Karta AI, a voice AI platform for inbound customer operations across banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars also participated in the round.

The proceeds will be used to strengthen the platform's end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities, expand deployments with financial institutions, and scale its engineering and go-to-market teams, Karta AI said in a press release.

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI develops voice AI agents that handle inbound customer calls for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurers. The platform integrates with enterprise systems to address customer queries and execute workflows without human intervention, unless escalation is required.

Unlike conventional voice bots that typically handle specific queries, Karta AI's platform is designed to manage multiple customer intents within a single conversation. Its predictive context engine uses past interactions, handled by both human agents and AI, to improve query resolution and decision-making.

The Bengaluru-based startup said it is live with financial institutions and handles around 2 million customer conversations a month across more than 25 languages. Its inbound servicing agent resolves around 70% of borrower queries end to end, up from 0%, across use cases such as disbursal status, account statements, foreclosure statements and property document release, the company claimed.

Over the longer term, Karta AI plans to develop reusable, industry-specific capabilities and expand into international markets.

India's agentic voice AI segment has seen growing investor interest as startups develop systems to automate customer interactions across banking, lending, fintech and insurance.
