Astra Studios, backed by Hombale Group, has partnered with VerSe Innovation to launch the Astra-Spark Alliance, an AI-powered content production initiative announced at MIPCOM Cannes on October 12.
The alliance combines AstraLabs, Astra Studios’ technology arm, with VerSe’s SparkStation AI Content Operating System to develop an integrated production platform covering scripting, storyboarding, casting, asset generation, editing, rendering and distribution.
The platform plans to address continuity challenges in AI-generated video, including consistency in faces, costumes, locations and props across scenes. It will support the production of films, series, animation, visual effects and branded content, with artists and production teams overseeing the creative process.
According to the companies, the technology could reduce production costs by up to 75% and shorten timelines from months to weeks. SparkStation also supports more than 60 languages and can route tasks across AI models from different providers. It offers exports for editing tools including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Astra Studios will contribute its production expertise and existing client relationships in visual effects and animation, while VerSe will provide the AI workflow technology. The alliance will also develop original content properties to demonstrate the production model.
VerSe Innovation operates platforms including Dailyhunt, Josh, Magzter and OneIndia. Astra Studios works across animation, visual effects, games art, immersive experiences and branded content.
