Unlimit powers high-volume payments for Indian retailer

The Souled Store, India’s biggest pop culture merchandise brand, has rolled out payment technology from Unlimit, a worldwide financial infrastructure provider, to keep checkout running smoothly when shopper demand surges during product launches, exclusive releases and seasonal sales events.

The system now operates across both the retailer’s website and its mobile app. It is built to hold up when transaction numbers climb sharply, which happens often for a brand whose business relies on limited-edition releases. Customers can pay through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), net banking, and credit and debit cards.

The retailer’s ranges draw on films, television, anime, sport and music, and fresh releases can trigger sudden waves of buyer activity. Unlimit’s technology was tested during The Souled Store’s recent Spider-Man collection, when it handled payment acceptance on the website and app as visitor numbers hit their highest point.

The Souled Store produces officially licensed fashion and merchandise. The company holds more than 200 licences and runs over 80 physical stores throughout India, alongside its online channels.

Unlimit describes itself as financial infrastructure for the agentic economy, enabling cross-border trade for companies, consumers and AI agents. Its own payment network reaches more than 180 countries, backed by licences in 97 jurisdictions and direct links into local payment systems. com, a platform for businesses and individuals that centres on one global account with local payment details. com handles payouts in over 150 currencies and provides card issuing, treasury management, and access to tokenised assets and decentralised finance. Established in 2009, Unlimit has headquarters in San Francisco and London and 17 offices globally.
