Thailand’s CLICX virtual bank has selected Thought Machine to power its core banking operations.
CLICX was formed through a strategic partnership between Krungthai Bank, Advanced Info Service (AIS) and PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR).
The bank uses Thought Machine’s cloud-native Vault Core platform to develop and manage its banking products.
CLICX is reportedly the first among the newly approved virtual banks to achieve operational readiness under the Bank of Thailand’s regulatory timetable.
The bank aims to serve freelancers, daily wage earners and small business owners who may struggle to access traditional credit.
CLICX uses Vault Core to analyse customer-consented data from mobile, retail and payment networks to assess credit risk.
This supports nano-loans and digital personal loans with risk-based pricing and tailored repayment terms.
The platform also allows CLICX to integrate banking services into its shareholders’ mobile, retail and payment channels.
“We selected Vault Core because we needed a core banking platform that gives our team the flexibility to develop products around our customers’ needs.
Its cloud-native architecture separates product logic from the underlying core infrastructure, allowing us to configure, test and refine products in-house with less dependence on vendor-led changes.”
“With Vault Core, CLICX has the total architectural freedom to adapt pricing, roll out custom products, and scale across Thailand without core technology ever becoming a bottleneck.”
