While discussing how Paymentus will deliver agentic experiences in the future, Sharma said the company will continue to deliver the level of service it offers now.
“We want to have our own agentic experience for our own customers so that we can guarantee this Paymentus ecosystem, which is what customers have selected us for, and they recognize that Paymentus will always take care of the relationship between our client and their end customers,” Sharma said. “So, that’s a very important facet of our offering.”
Paymentus provides cloud-native billing, payment, disbursement and artificial intelligence-enabled Service Commerce solutions for businesses and financial institutions. The company offers both digital and assisted channels for its clients’ customers, according to a Monday press release.
Sharma said during the call that the Paymentus platform is used by nearly 1 out of 3 households and businesses to pay their bills.
During the third quarter, Paymentus saw year-over-year increases of 20.1% in transactions, which rose to 219.0 million, and 19.8% in revenue, which reached a record $372.2 million. The company also grew the number of billers it serves, per the release.
Paymentus customers and other observers have highlighted the company’s offerings in customer experience, security, reduced cost-to-serve, platform integration, payment identity, account management, platform capabilities and investment in innovation, according to an earnings report presentation released Monday.
